The signing has been generally well-received by fans and pundits alike, and ESPN's Cecil Lammey gave the signing his blessing on Twitter on Wednesday evening:
I thought Ryan Lilja was the best option for the #Broncos after the Koppen injury, he'll compete for starting job w/Manny Ramirez

Nalen (42) retired in 2008 after starting in 188 games over a 15-year period for the Broncos, winning two Super Bowls (XXXII, XXXIII) and earning five Pro Bowl selections while with the team. In May, the Broncos inducted Nalen into the team's Ring of Fame.
